UNIQUE ABILITIES ABA A unique way to learn, to live, to love!
We specialize in 1:1 ABA therapy utilizing research based interventions individualized to the client's unique abilities.
Behavior Skills
Children with autism often engage in socially significant behaviors that can impede their daily lives. We utilize positive reinforcement to teach them alternative (replacement) behaviors while decreasing and often eliminating the future frequency of the problem behaviors.
Communication
Children with autism often have difficulties communicating their wants and needs appropriately. We can teach children functional communication including back and forth conversation with others, appropriately asking for things, and labeling items. For non-verbal children, we use PECs, AAC devices, and ASL as needed.
Social Skills
Children with autism often have difficulties socializing with others and will engage in social withdrawal to avoid uncomfortable situations. We teach children how to engage with peers through parallel and interactive play, how to understand social cues, following rules, and understanding emotions.
Adaptive Living
Children with autism can have delays with daily living skills such as toileting, dressing, stranger danger, and safety skills. We work with children using step-by-step procedures to ensure they learn at the level they are at. For older children (16+) we work on skills that build job competence to ensure they are ready for employment.

Parents are an active participant in the child's therapeutic process. They gain an abundance of knowledge and have the ability to learn every step of the way.
We provide in-home therapy sessions Monday-Thursday between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. In the case of cancelations, make-up sessions can be arranged with the therapist to be conducted in home on Fridays.
Parent/Caregiver Training
- Parent Training is part of the child's ABA therapeutic program. Parents/caregivers receive 1:1 training on ABA techniques utilized with their child to ensure generalization across all environments including home and school. Parent training is required at least 2 times a month for a minimum of 1 hour or up to 2 hours a week. Parent training is conducted in the home setting during regular business hours Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm. The BCBA is available to the parents via phone after hours (including weekends) for extra support as needed.
